2013-05-21 - "PUBLIC NOTICE RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE/RECYCLING COLLECTION Memorial Day Schedule Changes The City of DeWitt’s garbage and recycling hauler, Republic, will run on a modified schedule the week of May 27th, as a result of the Memorial Day Holiday. All collections will be done one day later than usual – Tuesday collections will be on Wednesday, Wednesday collections on Thursday and Thursday collections on Friday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions feel free to contact City Hall at 659-3811. "

2013-03-22 - "6TH AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT TO BEGIN KE Flatwork has been awarded the contract for the 6th Avenue Reconstruction Project. The pre-construction meeting was held on March 21. At that meeting KE stated that it intends to begin the project Monday, April 1. Starting April 1st thru traffic will be detoured around the project. KE will begin with utility work (sanitary sewer) at the north end of the project (near St. Josephs Church). KE will communicate with residents on the project regarding their access to their driveways and vehicles. The project includes the reconstruction of 6th Avenue (including water, sanitary sewer, and storm water) from St. Joes Church to Lake Street. During the initial stages of the project Lake Street will remain open. "
