Building Code

The City has adopted the following Building Codes:

• Chapter 155 of the City Code adopted the 2015 edition of the International Building Code, including the referenced 2015 International Fire Code, 2015 International Existing Building Code, and the 2015 International Residential Building Code, 2012 International Energy Conservation Code and 2015 International Fuel Gas Code

• Chapter 159 of City Code adopted the Iowa State 2018 Uniform Plumbing Code

• Chapter 158 of the City Code adopted the National Electrical Code, 2020 Edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association, Inc.

• Chapter 144 of the City Code adopted the 2015 edition of the International Property Maintenance Code
